Yep, the WTBorg experience does kinda shatter the mind into various compartments as the indoctrination is implanted. It'll take some time, as everyone has indicated, to enable the brain to re-assemble itself into a coherent unit once again. As you continue your search for Truth at your own pace you'll eventually come to the Really Good News. There is so much that the WTGB have gotten wrong about what is to come. Freedom is indeed a wonderful thing! -

New Here
by Red.tomato inhi everyone, this is my first post .. it takes a little bit of courage to do it, i have to admit and even thought i have been lurking for some time as time goes by it gets more and more difficult to keep attending meetings and just been around the friends in the congregation.
ever since i learned about the arc something inside of me just broke and it feels pretty hollow, now i pay attention to every single form of manipulation in every direction, what difference it makes with the catholic church or with any other religions ?
i wonder why the publishers are under obligation to report about their lives and decisions to the elders but they don´t keep informed the congregation about what´s going on legally other than russia.

Aye, I'd like to add my joy at your awakening to the very encouraging welcome all of the others have given you. Should you ever have moments of "doubt" let Patty Loveless strengthen your resolve.
Breaking away from the shackles and chains is a beautiful thing!

Who is benefiting from Watchtower Corporation financially
by John Davis inwho do you believe is financially benefiting from watchtower business dealings.
i know about the gold apple watch, but that is only a small percentage of the billions that they have.
so who do you think is keeping all of this money.

One can only wonder. Do you suppose that any active witnesses in "good standing" have taken notice of the fact that the "fruitage" displayed by the GB and the Corporation are the fruits of Satan rather than those of the Almighty One and His Son?
Are we seeing the Pride before the Fall?

Overcoming deeply ingrained false beliefs. (short video)

One of the most difficult beliefs XJws contend with is that the WTOrg really is God's chosen people and His exclusive channel of communication with True Worshipers. Once that false belief gives way to TTATT then the fear of facing annihilation and destruction in God's wrath begins to unravel. Then is when the healing is able to proceed. Thankfully, not all XJws were infected with morbid fears such as these, but for those who have been, the depth of depression may bring on suicidal thoughts. It is truly a very dark place from which there seems no escape. A True Friend who is able to perceive the cries for help and successfully intervene may be the only way out. Any idea how many Jws have resorted to suicide?

Aye, "Discernment" after JwBorg indoctrination is virtually a non-existent skill. The numerous fears that have been driven deeply into one's skull can become a huge distraction and if not overcome can cause one to crave "belonging" to another organization which employs similar tactics. Fear is tool number one of the JwBorg and those who seek to control.

Do you think the general public cares about former Jehovah's witnesses?
by Christian Gutierrez ini was wondering if you guys think if the general public cares about our stories or if they even care what the watchtower does to people??

Times have certainly changed! When I first became involved with the witnesses back in 1957 they were a very hot topic in the MidWest. Once it became known at school that I was involved several of my teachers tried to warn me; my Chemistry teacher, my Latin Teacher, my Biology teacher and my Principal. Additionally my two uncles who were WW2 Navy veterans tried to warn me as well as their parents, my Grandpa and Grandma. The witnesses were greatly despised because of their pacifist beliefs, their strange Christian beliefs and of course, their cult behaviors. My Pastor at our rural Evangelical United Brethren church talked with me several times very lovingly to warn me as well but it was all for naught. I was very much basking in that initial state of "spell" which we all experienced, so none of their cautions or arguments phased me at all.
My Father was especially angry and fortunately, now that I am able to see more clearly, forced me to stop attending meetings (although I did manage to attend most by stealth) and to continue in my high school athletics. I wanted to drop out of the Varsity Football team in my senior year but my Dad would have none of that. The coaches informed our local newspaper sports reporter of my "decision" and it was included in an article about our new high school athletics program and first ever Senior Football team. So I stayed with the team and even participated in Track the following spring, talking my witness friend into coming out for Track as well since the scheduled meets didn't conflict with any meetings at the hall. I don't believe he told his parents as he had his own car and was very independent so his devout family trusted him greatly.
By this time I was already baptized (back then they were generic Christian baptisms) and a "brother." A year later I was in the Navy and moving out of their World. The cautions and warnings began to take effect and I knew the best option was to get far away from them for several years.
As I read others experiences here and at the various XJw sites it seems I was one of the very few "lucky" ones who escaped before becoming the typical borg robot. Needless to say, I'm very, very grateful that so many of my respected adult "role models" devoted so much effort to waking me up. While I pretty much disregarded their warnings, they did plant seeds very successfully.

144,000 & The Trinity
by Libby innow that i'm looking beyond what the wt teaches i'm struggling to find information on three topics.
the 144,000, the trinity and prayer.. if anyone has 5 minutes could they explain:.
1. what do other religions think the 144,000 are or is?
-

Since "The Trinity" is not a Biblical teaching there is no Biblical requirement to support it; all that is necessary Biblically is to believe that there is a Heavenly Father; a Son and a Holy Spirit. Even when the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. by vote decided upon the Doctrine of The Trinity there was not complete agreement. In fact, there hasn't been since either. Initially, those who refused to believe the new doctrine of The Trinity were persecuted and executed. Thankfully, that no longer happens but the emotional levels of disagreement can often elevate to nearly that outcome.
The 144,000 will know who they are and what they must do. It is not up to them just as it wasn't up to Saul on the road to Damascus.
I have found these explanations to be very helpful:

Dealing with Elderly Parents Who Still Believe the jw Religion is the truth
by lancelink ini left the religion back in 2008 right after my mother died,( the total lack of natural love/ affection was the final straw for me).. but my dad has become more and more focused on doing the wt bidding.. it just amazes me how he gushes on and on about the last days, his new bible studies, and meeting parts .
but yet he makes no effort to have any type of relationship with his grandkids, there are 5 of them , non are witnesses.
they are the children from several different sisters of mine, and myself.. so how do you deal with the witness stuff always being presented in conversations?.

Seeds of Truth must be planted delicately and gently when dealing with Old Timers. We ourselves have little to do with the "changing of minds." When seeds are planted forcefully the reaction is a reinforcement of already held beliefs. We, as former Mind-Numbed Borgs, know how well that goes...
As long as the Old Timers are leading "good" lives perhaps the wisest course, as has already been suggested, is to just let them be. Well, even if they're not.

DA myself to relieve great pressure?
by Isambard Crater inmy lifelong mental illnesses, fuelled significantly by the borg, are very bad at the moment and result in me missing lots of midweek meetings, but i haven't missed a sunday in years except the occasional vacation.. the nature of my mental and emotional illnesses mean that i, as a physically in and mentally out pimo, take to heart very painfully admonishment from the platform to never miss meetings, preach all i can, and so on.. okay, i report 3 hours each month on average and no elder has ever said anything, but when they make comments on the platform, i feel such great guilt and shame, but also anger, as they do not understand my illnesses and when i do mention my situation to elders, they kind of minimise and joke about it.. some other sisters in my congregation started "officially" not attending midweek meetings a few year's ago because of their own health circumstances, but i know for a fact that some elders look down on them for this reason, not showing real understanding deep down even if they do on the surface.. i have reached the point where i want to hand in a da letter as a cry for help, or more like a clear indicator to them that when i say i'm not well enough to attend midweek, i really mean it and it's not just an excuse.
sure, i'm only 42, but i can still be too fragile to go out at night with a 30 minute drive both ways..

It is very sad that the fear-based-mind-control-techniques utilized by the WTborg are able to penetrate so deeply into the psyche. It is distressing and painful to to observe how those fears can, even years after leaving The Cult, create turmoil and deprive the afflicted of true happiness and Love.
Fortunately, I was able to break free by an escape route through the Navy before the "programming" took control. Even then, nagging doubts about Armageddon and the possibility that WTborg were as they say. Finally, reading the Word of the Bible with the mind of a child, putting all doctrine embedded by WTborg out of though, enabled me to discover the truth of what is written. It is a great relief to find it is written that All shall be saved, Not a single one will be left out or forgotten. The penalty for sin is death, at which time the penalty is paid, and there is no such thing as eternal destruction or disqualification from the resurrection.
I know, many struggle with these thoughts too, But once the sacred secrets are revealed the Good News becomes Really Good News!
There are Bible Truth resources available on the Web which assist unbelievers in comprehending the Simple Truths of what is written and how Christendom (including WTborg) has badly distorted those truths, for any who may be interested in learning.
